What are the dates for WT Summer Camp 2026?

WT Summer Camp 2026 runs across 8 weekly sessions: June 9–13, June 16–20, June 23–27, July 7–11, July 14–18, July 21–25, July 28–August 1, and August 4–8.

Where is WT Summer Camp held?

Our private school summer programs take place at the WT Shady Side Campus and Allegheny RiverTrail Park in Pittsburgh.

What are the camp hours and extended care options?

Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with extended care available from 8:00–9:00 a.m. and 4:00–5:00 p.m.

What are the drop-off and pick-up procedures?

Follow signage to your assigned area. Staff assist campers out of vehicles while parents remain inside. Use your name placard for pick-up.

Do summer programs run during bad weather?

Yes! WT Summer Camp operates rain or shine. Activities may be moved indoors or under shelters. Please pack a raincoat and extra clothes daily.

What should my child bring to WT Summer Camp?

Campers should bring a labeled water bottle, sunscreen, close-toed shoes, water shoes, bathing suit, towel, extra clothes, lunch, and a hat or visor.

What should my child NOT bring to camp?

Please do not bring electronics, gaming devices, toys, valuables, or aerosol sprays to camp.

Are lunch and snacks provided?

Campers may bring lunch or purchase it through the school. Healthy snacks are provided daily. Pizza Fridays include pizza from Pizza Parma!

What is the WT Summer Camp cancellation policy?

Cancellations 21+ days before camp start receive a full refund minus a $20 fee. Cancellations 14–20 days before receive 50%. No refunds under 14 days.

Can I change my child’s camp schedule?

Yes! Schedule changes are allowed for a $25 fee per change. We’re happy to help accommodate your family’s needs.

WT Summer Camp

Join us in person at the Winchester Thurston Summer Camp for exciting new themes and experiences, and some returning favorites. In our private school summer program, campers age 3 (Jr. Pre-K) – grade 12 can choose from an array of options in adventure and play, sports and physical fitness, creative and visual arts, and academics.

WT Summer Camp maintains Winchester Thurston’s tradition of excellence, providing educational and stimulating options to campers from all over the Pittsburgh area.

With programs designed to spark curiosity and build confidence, our private school summer program is a place where learning and fun come together in a safe, supportive environment.

Camp Day: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Extended Care: 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Drop-off & Pick-up Procedures

When you arrive, follow the Wobbly Person to your assigned drop-off area!

This summer, Bayard will be the drop-off for age 3 - grade 5, and the gym will be for grade 6 - 9 and ARP kids.

Dashboard Name Sign: Place a piece of paper on your dashboard with your camper's first and last name clearly printed. This helps our staff quickly identify and assist each camper.
Camp Theme: Make sure your camper knows which camp theme they're attending that day. It helps them feel confident and ready to jump into the fun! A sticker with their theme or a piece of paper for them to hold is super helpful to get them where they need to go quickly and easily.
Pull Forward: Always pull all the way to the front of the drop-off circle— even if no one is behind you. This simple action helps reduce traffic congestion for everyone.
Need a Moment?: If you have a question, need to chat, or want to give your camper a few extra hugs, please park in the Ellsworth driveway or on nearby streets and walk up to the entrance.
Warm Welcome: Our fantastic camp staff will be waiting in the front circle each morning to greet your camper and walk them to their program location.

Cancellation & Change Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

28+ days before start: Full refund, minus $25 nonrefundable registration fee (per camper)

14-27 days before start: 50% refund of camp tuition (registration fee is nonrefundable)

0-13 days before start: No refunds.

*A camp credit (up to 50% of tuition) may be issued in extenuating circumstances. Credit is valid for 12 months.

Change Policy:

Families may request a switch to another session (space permitting) at no cost if requested 28+ days before start.

Additional charges or later requests are subject to a $25 change fee.

Medical Exception:

With a doctor's note, WT will offer a transfer or camp credit (registration fee excluded).

Staffing, materials, and space commitments are finalized weeks in advance; we require 28 days' notice for full refunds. When possible, we offer credits or transfers to support families facing unexpected changes.
