Rethink Time and Space
Aligned with Winchester Thurston's strategic priorities of Reimagine Learning and Rethink Time and Space, WT continues to transform its campus to better support how students learn and collaborate.
Opened in 2023 and named for Joan Clark Davis ’65, the Joan Clark Davis Center for Interdisciplinary Learning expands opportunities for project-based and community-based learning. The Center brings together the humanities, arts, and sciences and opens more doors for our renowned City as Our Campus program. The Center also addressed longstanding space needs resulting from enrollment growth and evolving program needs. By relocating offices and expanding teaching and learning spaces, the Center has created greater flexibility across campus and increased capacity to support students in all three divisions.
WT continued to reimagine existing spaces to meet the needs of today’s students by renovating Molloy Posner Hall in 2026. Originally constructed 60 years ago for a much smaller student population, Molloy Posner Hall underwent renovations to its Dining Hall and Kitchen, and the addition of a new Middle School Learning Commons. Together, these improvements create more contemporary, flexible spaces that support connection, collaboration, and learning.
Most recently, WT acquired the property at 5000 Center Avenue, directly across from the Davis Center. This rare opportunity to expand within the neighborhood provides valuable flexibility and the potential to support future growth and innovation. The additional space will support our students, advance our mission, and contribute to the School's long-term vision.
Through thoughtful investment in our campus, WT is creating spaces that evolve alongside our students and the ways they learn.
