June 2026

What a year it has been! There has been so much energy in our hallways, auditorium, and classrooms over the past few weeks. Our students and teachers had the chance to share everything they have been working toward through this school year. From Dance and Musical performances to the STEM Symposium, the Plaid launch, 8th grade Ted Talks, the Art Show, and so much more, each event and presentation reminded us just how much our students are capable of when they are supported, challenged, and celebrated.

Last week, 72 seniors crossed the stage at Carnegie Music Hall, diplomas in hand, cheered on by family, faculty, staff, administrators, and Trustees. Watching them in that moment is always a powerful reminder of why this work matters so deeply. The words shared by our four senior speakers captured something true about what makes WT so special. Whether in the classroom, the community, on the field, or on the stage, the Class of 2026 showed us time and again what tenacity, compassion, ambition, and curiosity look like in practice, and what it truly means to live out our credo to "Think also."

This morning, our younger divisions came together for their Moving Up ceremonies, one of our most cherished traditions. There is something incredibly special about reflecting on how far students have come as they prepare to step into a new chapter. It’s a moment we’re thrilled to be able to celebrate with our students.

I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude to our extraordinary faculty, staff, and administrators. Year after year, they show up with dedication, warmth, and an unwavering belief in each student's potential. They create spaces where students feel secure enough to step outside their comfort zones and develop in meaningful ways. This level of dedication is intentional, and we recognize the work it takes to create the type of environment our students can thrive in here at WT. I am just as thankful to every one of you for the confidence you extend to us. The bond between families and school lies at the core of our mission, and your collaboration is truly what makes it all possible.

As we bring WT's 139th academic year to an end, we do so with deep pride in all that our community has achieved and real anticipation for what the future holds. I wish you a summer filled with rest, adventure, and joy. We look forward to welcoming you back in the fall.

Best,
