Focus On: First Day of School

There is nothing quite like the first day of school! Seeing the very beginning of student-teacher relationships forming, witnessing the happiness of friends reconnecting, and watching as our newest WT Bears are warmly welcomed by their new friends is indescribable. Even with the many “First Days” I have experienced, I am still filled with joy! 

And this year, our students walked into so many new spaces in Molloy Posner Hall. Our 5th graders are the first to learn in these newly relocated classrooms. Our Middle School students have a beautiful new Learning Commons they can call their own. And all our students have access to an expanded dining room with enough seating for everyone!

Schools are more interesting with students and teachers in them. It is good to be back.

As with every new school year, we welcome new faculty, staff, and administrators and celebrate new opportunities for returning members of the school community. Before students arrived, our faculty and staff spent time getting to know one another and exploring parts of Pittsburgh through a morning inspired by City as Our Campus. Read about how our team kicked off the school year and take a moment to acquaint yourself with our New Faces, New Places.
