Summer Reading at Winchester Thurston

Summer Reading at Winchester Thurston is designed to encourage students to foster a love of reading and become self-motivated, lifelong learners. Students in grades 3 – 12 have required summer reading, and the books selected are intended to prepare them for upcoming coursework, discussions, and curricular experiences. Students are also encouraged to seek out additional items to read for pleasure. Students in grades Junior Pre-Kindergarten – 2 do not have required summer reading; however, teachers have provided suggested Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 2 summer reading lists, and students are encouraged to read with their families over the summer months.
