To be inspired by classmates. To learn from professional artists. To begin thinking about a career in art. These are just some of the ways WT students benefit from having an art gallery right down the hall.
From Warhol prints loaned to WT by the Andy Warhol Museum, to art by contemporary artists including WT alumna Kathryn Widgery '71, to work done by current WT students, the art gallery displays an array of artwork every year.
The art gallery does more than just display artwork. By participating in “gallery talks” and related activities with their art classes, students have the opportunity to interact directly with professional and student artists and find out how and why they do what they do. They also get the chance to display their own work to the entire WT community.
