Outright Gifts include cash, securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds), tangible personal property, corporate matching gifts, and pledges. These gifts can be designated to help a program or project of special interest to the donor. Outright gifts are most often claimed as a charitable tax deduction the year in which they are received.
Corporate Matching Gifts
Many corporations and businesses sponsor matching gift programs that will match charitable contributions made by their employees, employees’ spouses, or retirees. This is a great way to double or even triple your gift to WT.

PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC)
If your business pays PA taxes, WT students can reap the benefits. Through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, eligible businesses can earn significant tax credits by donating to WT’s scholarship and financial aid program.
IRA
If you own an IRA and are age 70 ½ or over, you can make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) of as much as $100,000 from your IRA without paying income tax on the withdrawal.
