Financial Aid

Winchester Thurston School is committed to maintaining a socioeconomically diverse student body by providing a need-based financial aid program to assist parents whose children would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend our private school. Parents who believe their children are eligible for admission, but cannot afford to pay full tuition, should consider applying for WT scholarships and financial aid for private school.

Application Process

WT works with Clarity Tuition, a third-party organization that evaluates a student’s eligibility for financial aid through the online Clarity Application (helpful application guide). Clarity Tuition provides a recommendation of what each family may be able to contribute toward tuition. WT's Financial Aid Committee considers this recommendation, along with other factors, and makes the final decision regarding financial aid awards.

Selection

While requests for financial aid exceed our available resources, we provide grants to as many students as possible. Awards are made to students who are highly qualified and whose enrollment aligns with the mission of Winchester Thurston School.

Timeline

December 1st
All new families who have requested financial aid information will have received the link to the Clarity Tuition online financial aid application. 

January 1st
Submission deadline for the Clarity Application 

February/March
Newly admitted and returning students' families receive notification of financial aid awards with their acceptance letters from the Director of Financial Aid.
