Interested in admission to Winchester Thurston for your young learner? The process to apply at Winchester Thurston is straightforward and personalized. Whether you're applying for Junior Pre-K or Grade 12, the Admission Office team will work with you as you move through the process of applying at Winchester Thurston.

When to Apply to WT for the Upcoming School Year

The formal admission application process traditionally begins the fall before your child would matriculate at Winchester Thurston.

• The recommended deadline to submit the Parent Application is December 1st.
• All additional application materials should be complete by the end of January (Grades 1 - 12.)
  • Teacher recommendation forms for students applying to Junior Pre-Kindergarten, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten are due by mid-December.
• The Admission Office will accept applications on a rolling basis, depending on space availability.

If you missed the application deadline, don't worry. You can still apply at Winchester Thurston. Applications are welcome and consideration is on a space-available basis. A rolling admission policy is used until the available spaces for each grade are filled. Please contact the Admission Office at 412-578-7518 or admission@winchesterthurston.org to inquire about availability before you apply at WT.

Junior Pre-K students must be 3 years and 6 months old by September 1. Pre-K students should be 4 years old by September 1, and Kindergarten students should be 5 years old by September 1.
