Upper School

Winchester Thurston surrounds every student with opportunities to explore, achieve, and contribute. We cultivate ethical citizens with the character to serve, the motivation to lead, and the skills and knowledge to reshape our world. Through our courses and our nationally recognized City as Our Campus program, we instill in all students a lifelong love of learning, critical in a rapidly changing world.

Our credo, “Think also of the comfort and the rights of others,” animates our vibrant campus. Care is everywhere - in our seminar-style classes, our inclusive and spirited sports teams, our committed student unions, and our tightly-knit advisory groups. 

Along with experiencing care, students will also be challenged. WT is the first school in our region to trade the boilerplate AP curriculum for advanced courses designed for our students and based on our mission. These dynamic offerings are demanding, sophisticated, experiential, and interdisciplinary—and you won’t find them anywhere else but WT.
