Supervised Study

Middle School students remaining on campus after 3:30 p.m. participate in Supervised Study if they are not engaged in another school-sponsored activity.

Supervised Study is offered Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. for a fee of $15/day. A proctor is on hand to supervise students as they complete their homework from 3:30 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. New to this year, students can participate in a self-directed optional activity from 4:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Monday: Party Card Games - Uno, Superfight, Werewolf, Exploding Kittens, Who Memed It, and more.

Tuesday: Crafternoon - Earrings, Bracelets, Bandanas, Tote Bags, and more.

Wednesday: Service Squad - Participate in volunteer activities for school and community projects.

Thursday: Crafternoon - Perler Beads, Diamond Painting, Modeling Clay, and more.

Friday: Tournament Time - Complete in a one-day tournament in Jenga, Connect4, Super Smash Bros, and more.

Families are not required to register in advance. This drop-in program is available to all of our Pittsburgh private middle school students as needed and is billed based on attendance.

Location

The Middle School Learning Commons provides a comfortable and safe study space for students to spend time after school while waiting for parent pick-up.

Our faculty and staff encourage all students to quietly study/read and make the most of their time while in Supervised Study. Additional books are available for students to read, and students can also enjoy quiet, social time with classmates after their work is complete.

Pick-Up Procedures

Parents and/or caregivers should plan to pick up students in the Bayard Street bus driveway. Parents can call or send a text message to students who have cell phones or text 412-980-8803 when they have arrived for pick-up. Students will then sign out and meet their ride in the driveway. Pick-up must take place by 6:00 p.m. each day.
