Students Recognized in Recent Writing Competitions

Several WT students have been recognized for their writing in recent competitions.

Seventh grader Indie Pascal earned first place for "We Still Have a Heart in Ourselves" and seventh grader Greta Reis earned second place for "Oblivion" in the Élan Magazine Middle School Writing Contest.

Élan, is an international student literary magazine published by the Creative Writing department at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville, Florida. Élan celebrates the work of students in grades 6–8 in their annual Middle School Writing Contest.

Junior Luka Koll was named a semifinalist in the Japan Center at Stony Brook University Essay Competition.

The Japan Center at Stony Brook University Essay Competition provides young Americans with an opportunity to think creatively and critically about their lives by relating them to some aspect of Japan to help them broaden their horizons and develop global citizenship.
