Benefits

Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage:

Winchester Thurston School partners with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in order to provide affordable, top-tier health coverage at Pittsburgh’s premier medical centers. WT offers two, low monthly premium Medical, Dental, and Vision plans in which eligible employees may enroll. Plans offer coverage that is also available for spouses/domestic partners and dependents.

Life Insurance, AD&D, and Disability:

WT provides a group life insurance policy and accidental death & dismemberment coverage to all employees who are .50 full-time equivalent and over. Disability benefits are available for all full-time employees. Employees are also eligible to purchase additional term life insurance for themselves and their dependents.

Retirement Plan:

WT invites all regular employees to participate in its retirement plan program through TIAA. Eligible employees may receive an annual 5% contribution of their salary from WT to their retirement account. If you are eligible, you may receive the employer contribution regardless of whether or not you contribute to the retirement plan through payroll deduction. All eligible employees are 100% vested in the retirement plan upon initial enrollment in the plan.

Tuition Remission and Extended Day Services:

WT is happy to offer tuition remission for the children of faculty, administrators, and staff. Additionally, Extended Day services will remain free for employees until 4:00 p.m. on all school days. When school obligations require employees to work beyond 4:00 p.m., WT will provide Extended Day services at no charge to the employee.
