Thank you to everyone who joined us for Reunion 2024!
It was a remarkable celebration of Winchester Thurston’s vibrant community, with alumni and friends gathering to reminisce, reconnect, and create new memories together.
What a weekend! The Class of 1974 kicked off their 50-year reunion on Thursday with a breakfast that included a meet-and-greet with current students. Alumni from various graduating classes then gathered for a catered luncheon, featuring a presentation by Head of School Dr. Scott Fech. Several Upper School students joined the alumni for lunch, engaging in "then-and-now" discussions facilitated by Upper School Director Dana Kooistra. Later that evening, WT Alums of Color welcomed the greater WT community for a powerful series of vignettes from August Wilson's acclaimed plays. The weekend culminated on Friday evening at the Joan Clark Davis Center for Interdisciplinary Learning with a cocktail party, where friends reconnected over delicious hors d'oeuvres and refreshing libations.
Reunion Weekend included a special virtual panel featuring our current Head of School, Scott Fech, alongside former Heads Judy Chamberlain, Gary J. Niels, and Jane Scarborough. Please enjoy a recording of the discussion which reflects on 138 years of legacy and celebrates the milestones that shaped our school.
Please note: This video recording of the Zoom call was started approximately five minutes into the session. Unfortunately, it began after Gary Niels, WT Head of School from 2002-2018, introduced himself.
