Located within walking distance of some of the world's most important centers of research, technology, culture, arts, and medicine including CMU, Pitt, UPMC, Hillman Cancer Center, and more. The City Campus offers WT students the benefits of a small school environment with unparalleled opportunities for intellectual engagement with the dynamic urban laboratory that surrounds it.

Through City as Our Campus, innovative teachers develop unique learning partnerships that extend their student-centered classrooms into the community, in a continuum of exposure that develops important 21st century skills and dispositions. Inquiry based interdisciplinary learning, rigorous research projects, arts immersion, and community service enrich a challenging college preparatory program.

The City Campus is organized into three divisions: Lower School (PK-5) has two class sections of 15-18 students per grade, Middle School (6-8) has three class sections of 15-18 students per grade, and Upper School (9-12) has four class sections of 15-18 students per grade.

With its own facilities, its own distinctive, developmentally appropriate environment, and its own traditions, each division is, at its heart, a community. Each student is known as an individual by the faculty, and valued as an important participant in an intimate learning environment. The three divisions are bound by a common PK-12 emphasis on intellectual, aesthetic, and ethical development and achievement and our school credo, "Think also of the comfort and the rights of others." Teachers encourage students to develop their strengths and passions within the context of a college preparatory program that prepares them for the rigors of the next level-whether that is middle school, upper school, or college and the unscripted world.
