In recognition of Winchester Thurston's oustanding learning community that welcomes and challenges gifted and talented students, the Malone Family Foundation established a Malone Scholars Program at WT in 2007.
This national foundation selected Winchester Thurston as one of only three independent schools in the country to receive a Malone $2 million endowment grant that year for need-based financial aid for gifted and talented students in grades 7-12.
