Winchester Thurston Advisory Board


Drawn from a diverse range of fields and backgrounds, the Winchester Thurston School Advisory Board is comprised of leaders in civic and political life, education, youth and human development, nonprofit management and foundations, the arts, science and technology, business and commerce, health and wellness, ethics, and international issues. Its overarching purpose will be to help the school envision itself in the year 2020-looking well beyond the current, exploring societal topics and issues important in their effect on schools.

WT China Lectures

China plays a vital role in the global community. Understanding China and its relevance to our own lives is essential to understanding world events as well as our own society's future - locally and nationally. Winchester Thurston School and the Confucius Institute at the University of Pittsburgh's Asian Studies Center sponsored a six-week lecture series to bridge the gap between the Great Wall and the Terrible Towel.
