Upper School

Winchester Thurston's Upper School at our City Campus--an integral part of Pittsburgh's East End for more than a century--features a dynamic learning environment that blends the diversity of a school located in the city's educational and cultural heart, with the safety of a close-knit, welcoming community.  

In Upper School, students are increasingly challenged with scholarly work that prepares them for advanced study. We're proud to have been nationally recognized in 2007 as a Malone Scholars school in recognition of our rigorous academics and programming for gifted and talented students.

In the classroom and beyond, our Upper School students find ways to push themselves into new territories. Our unique City as Our Campus program links curriculum with the cultural, educational, and historical resources of the City of Pittsburgh. And our Internship Program provides hands-on learning experiences with world-class institutions.
