Upper School Basketball emphasizes team commitment, a high level of skill development, and competitive play. All students who meet attendance requirements are invited to participate. Both girls and boys programs offer varsity and junior varsity teams. Boys play in the Greater Pittsburgh Independent Basketball League and girls play in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League. The season runs from November to February during which teams practice five times per week and have a schedule of approximately 20 games. Practices are generally held from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. or from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in local gyms and at WT.
