Middle School

Winchester Thurston's Middle School at our City Campus-an integral part of Pittsburgh's East End for more than a century-features a dynamic learning environment that blends the diversity of a school located in the city's educational and cultural heart, with the safety of a close-knit, welcoming community.  

Our skilled Middle School faculty lead sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders in discovering students' capacities for leadership and the necessary qualities of confidence, ethics, responsibility, and respect.

Leadership is built into the curriculum: we offer rigorous academics, a choice of 26 electives, a Leadership Academy, and myriad opportunities in student government, clubs, athletics, and performing arts.
