EITC and OSTC

Support WT and get a tax credit — a Win-Win!

Everything you need to know about PA’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program (OSTC).

If you pay PA taxes, WT students can reap the benefits. Through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program or Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) program, eligible businesses can earn significant tax credits by donating to WT’s scholarship and financial aid program.

There are two easy ways to do this:

1. Apply for Credits Directly through the State: Businesses can submit an online application to the state of Pennsylvania for tax credits. View step-by-step instructions for completing the application process.

2. Participate in the Tax Credit Program with a Special Purpose Entity (SPE): Donors (either individuals or businesses) can enter into a joinder agreement with a qualifying SPE and then make the donation to the SPE. The SPE will then forward the funds to the preferred organization (in this case, WT). More information about SPEs can be found here.

"EITC represents a rare opportunity to support WT at a very low cost. Our company receives a 90% credit each year against our Capital Stock Tax for our two-year commitment. We are happy to direct our funds to a cause that we know uses them both wisely and effectively."

Henry Posner III, Chairman

Railroad Development Corporation

When you support WT with EITC, you're in good company.

WT thanks these generous companies that have supported WT scholars in recent years.
