Message from the Parents Association President Dear Parents, Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore, scary witches at your door, jack-o-Lanterns smiling bright – wishing you a haunting night! Hopefully your children had a safe and fun Halloween and enjoyed the school celebrations. Thank you to all of the room parents for organizing the festivities for our kids. A special thank you to our City Campus second grade for another successful pumpkin fair; and to our teachers and patrons who supported the event. What a great way to celebrate the season while learning math and having goodies to eat. This is another example of how our teachers incorporate life experience into learning, promote a responsive classroom, and our community rallies to make special events memorable. And speaking of the WT community – the celebrations for our new auditorium were delightful. Alumnae/i, family, faculty, and friends – thank you all for participating. I look forward to seeing you at future events in the auditorium (and don’t forget, the Middle School Musical is right around the corner). Now, with November here and the holidays approaching, we hope to see you at our upcoming events (see the events and reminders section for details): - Grandparents and Special Friends Day

A special thanks to our City Campus second grade Room Parents: Holly Khera, Jaspreet Kaur, Debbie Lee, and Elise Blackburn, and the amazing parent volunteers and teachers who made this year’s Pumpkin Fair a huge success! From packaging up bat cookies to helping the second graders sell gummy mummies, pumpkins, and treats, this WT tradition lives on because of their dedication and spirit! Last year more than 300 parent volunteers helped with events and projects. Some parents spent a couple of hours, one time; others gave us the equivalent of a part-time job! We hope that all volunteers leave their experience with something in return: new friendships, a deeper understanding of what is happening at the school, and ultimately a sense of pride and satisfaction that their time was well spent.
