In Hands-On Art, parents and children will create their own masterpiece with WT Lower School art teacher Tina Plaks. A little art history. A little creativity. A whole lot of hands-on learning.

Starting with Wassily Kandinsky's masterpiece Squares with Concentric Circles, we'll learn about painting and printing techniques and then jump in and create our own masterpiece.

While students are engaged in a variety of small group activities with our math, language arts, and computer science teachers, parents will have the opportunity to engage with students on tours of the school, to learn about what makes the Middle School tick from student panelists, and to understand how our faculty inspires students to be creative and critical thinkers from Amanda Greenwald, Director of Middle School.

Together with our Lower School Computer Science teacher, students will explore and enjoy various "un-plugged" activities and then create, program, and operate their own robot.
